Neal is Sports Partnership Director for NEOM. Holding an MBA in International Sports Management, Neal has over 20 years of experience at the highest level of the sports industry, where he has worked on developing major events, sponsorships and broadcast projects. While Neal believes sport is a powerful economic driver, he also recognizes its major social benefits; and this has been the foundation for Neal’s commitment to the NEOM project.
Ian James is the Team Principle for Mercedes-Benz EQ Formula E Team. With almost 20 years of experience working both as an engineer and in senior management for Mercedes-Benz, Ian has proven himself to be a driving force in much of Mercedes’ success on the racetrack. In 2011, as the Head of Programme Management for Mercedes AMG High Performance Powertrains, Ian reintroduced KERS to Mercedes’ F1 car, leading to Mercedes’ first win at a Formula 1 GP since 1955. While his work on the development and introduction of the V6/ERS Power Unit culminated in Mercedes’ claiming both the 2014 and 215 Drivers’ and Team Formula 1 World Championships. Both Ian’s commitment to excellence and his triumphs at the highest level of motorsport foreshadow a highly successful partnership between Mercedes-Benz Formula E Team and NEOM.
Lee Johnson is a motor sport specialist and a F1 host with a wealth of experience within the sport industry.
